Road to Waste World Cup begins

By 27/04/2018News

The road to the Waste World Cup is underway, with the industry’s premier mixed gender sporting event booked to take place at the Brackley Leisure Centre in Northamptonshire.

This year’s event takes place at the Brackley Leisure Centre in Northamptonshire.

The format and structure will remain the same as previous years with a full day of football guaranteed for all teams. Competitions include Cup, Plate, Bowl, Vase, Jug and Shield.

Players of all abilities are welcome and as always, there must be at least one male and one female on the pitch at all times!

This year’s event will see more than 30 six-a-side teams competing for the coveted trophy, now in its 16th year.

Alongside a full day of football, there will also be chance to win £100 at a range of fun challenges, a free BBQ, lunch and bar, a team photo as a souvenir and much more.

Dates

The tournament, which is supporting WasteAid,  will take place on Friday 31st August 2018, which is perfect to capitalise on the inspiration that will surely be provided by the England national team at the World Cup in Russia.

Brackley Leisure Centre, which has recently undergone a £5 million renovation, is just over half an hour drive away from Northampton, with excellent transport links and connections. The cost to enter a team is frozen at £595+ VAT.
