Andusia Recovered Fuels has secured a contract with German energy-from-waste plant, N+P has extended SRF supply with Cypriot cement company and Re-gen Waste has been recognised for a local award.

Andusia
Refuse derived fuel (RDF) exporter Andusia has signed an agreement with MHKW Rothensee to export waste to the German company’s plant, located in Magdeburg, Germany.
The plant has been in operation since 2005 and processes on average 650,000 tonnes of waste a year, generating 370,000 MWh of power and 350,000 MWh of district heating which supplies local households and businesses.
Rolf Oesterhoff, commercial managing director at MHKW said: “We are really proud to start a good long-term business relationship with one of UK’s largest independent exporters by signing a 10 year contract.
“The reason why we made the choice to have Andusia as a partner is quite simple: their knowledge in the UK market, their expertise in the RDF export business and of course the great team behind Andusia.”
Andusia said: “This contract confirms Andusia’s commitment to continue to develop their position in the RDF export market with well-respected off-take partners in Europe.”
N+P Group
N+P Group has announced that it will extend its solid recovered fuel (SRF) supply agreement with Cypriot company, Vassiliko Cement Works.
The group is extending its agreement with Vassiliko and its subsidiary Enerco Energy Recovery until 2020, with the option to extend the agreement to 2022.

The Netherlands-based company has been shipping SRF since 2015 from the UK and Italy in sea containers and bulk vessels to Cyprus to be used in Vassiliko’s cement production process.
N+P said: “This contract is the foundation of a long-term cooperation between Vassiliko Cement Works Public Company, Enerco Energy Recovery and N+P.”
N+P added that Vassiliko recently carried out a trial to grind N+P’s Subcoal pellets in the plants coal mills, with the first trial results looking very promising.
“We agreed not to disclose precise contract volumes, but at present more than 2,500 tons of SRF per week is shipped into Vassiliko,” said N+P.
Re-gen Waste
Northern Ireland’s Re-gen Waste has announced that it has won ‘Best Export Business’ at the Greater Newry Business Awards in Northern Ireland.

The business awards were hosted by Newry Chamber of Commerce and Trade on 28 September 2017, which recognises and rewards businesses for their performance.
Joseph Doherty, managing director of Re-Gen said: “We are delighted with our award and proud that with almost thirteen years in business under our belts, we have established ourselves as one of the most advanced MRF (materials recovery facility) installations in Europe. Currently 80% of our products are exported to 27 countries across the globe.”
Mr Doherty added: “We have significant plans for the continued growth and evolution of our business with a clear strategy to expand in the UK and European markets, where we are well known.
