The New Year is now well and truly here but the Christmas spirit lives on with Dan Beedham of Norfolk county council announced as winner of the 2016 limerick competition run by letsrecycle.com and sponsored by GJF Fabrications.
Mr Beedham is waste projects offer within the residual waste services department at Norfolk and wins an experience/activity voucher for his reindeer and sleigh-themed five-lined poem.
He told letsrecycle.com: “I’m surprised and delighted to have won first prize against some stiff competition, and it’s nice to see Norfolk gracing the letsrecycle headlines for winning reasons! I look forward to my wife telling me how we will use the lovely prize.”
Smiles
David Gillett, managing director of competition sponsor GJF Fabrications, said: “We were pleased to sponsor the annual Christmas competition and I’m sure the limericks will have seen some smiles – and a few groans! Thank you to everyone who entered and my congratulations to Dan Beenham.”
Dr Gillett added: “I look forward to hearing what Dan chooses to do on his adventure day.”
Based in the West Midlands, GJF has over 25 years’ experience and manufactures a comprehensive range of hooklifts, skips and recycling banks.
Steve Eminton, editor of letsrecycle.com, thanked all the entrants for their efforts. “Christmas time will come around again all too soon! Look out in December for this year’s challenge and congratulations to Dan on his winning prose.”
