The Dunmow Group, an Essex-based skip hire and waste management company, has announced its acquisition of Eastern Waste Disposal (EWD).
Dunmow’s acquisition of EWD ‘continues to enhance’ its waste management recycling capabilities
Based in Brightlingsea, near Colchester, EWD provides waste disposal and recycling services for industrial and domestic customers throughout the east of England.
Family-owned Dunmow Group says the acquisition “continues to enhances its waste management recycling capabilities, providing greater flexibility for its commercial and domestic customers”.
The company added that the deal for EWD enables the Group to process more specialist waste steams such as contaminated water, road sweepings, gully waste and contaminated soils.
Alternative processes will also enhance the newly formed metal recycling operations launched by Dunmow Group in Chelmsford this year, the company added.

The Dunmow Group was founded in 1987 as Dunmow Skips Ltd, before becoming Dunmow Waste Management in 2011. In December 2019, it rebranded to become the Dunmow Group to enable it to “market and show” its range of services.
And, in November 2020 Dunmow Group won the Waste Transfer & Skip Hire Business of the Year category at the Awards for Excellence in Recycling and Waste Management.
