On-demand rubbish removal business, Clearabee has joined the National Resource Consortium (NRC), the organisation has announced.
The NRC said that Clearabee has joined its network of “48 leading independent waste and recycling operators which provides cost-effective, flexible services to national and multi-site clients.”
Established in 2012, Clearabee describes itself as the UK’s largest “on-demand rubbish removal service operating entirely through its own in-house team”. It employs 180 people with a fleet of 80 waste removal trucks nationwide.
Clearabee said that its “range of responsive waste removal services” complements those offered by the NRC network and supports the consortium’s mission to be the UK’s leading independent provider of national waste and recycling services. Having entered into membership, Clearabee said it has also established bespoke waste disposal arrangements with a number of NRC members.
Partnership
Commenting on the announcement, Daniel Long, Clearabee’s managing director, said: “Working in partnership with longstanding industry players has been a big part of our success so far. We are pleased to support the NRC’s collaborative approach and add our fast, flexible ‘man and van’ style waste removal services its broad range of capabilities.”

The company highlights to customers that materials and objects may be recycled or upcycled, from being taken to charity shops through trommelling to recover different material streams.
NRC director, Paul Jackson, added: “Clearabee’s rapid growth is based on a sound business strategy and the company’s mission aligns perfectly with our goal to offer the capability clients can expect from national waste operators but with the flexibility, value and outstanding service that only independent firms can offer.”
Membership
The National Resource Consortium, which is based in Milton Keynes, was founded by 12 independent waste processing firms but the original members still with the organisation is now understood to number nine, with some former members including Glazewing and Weir Waste acquired by larger operators. The list of the 48 members of the NRC is not available due to commercial reasons.
