CIWM is expected to issue a statement regarding the structure of the organisation which could include changes at its new Northampton headquarters in terms of management structure.
Former chief executive Colin Church, moved on in September 2018. No chief executive was appointed to succeed Dr Church.
On Dr Church’s departure, Sarah Poulter, who ran the charity’s business division became executive director with the appointment of deputy chief executive Chris Murphy also as an executive director. It is believed that Mr Murphy is due to retire inside the next five years.
Statement
When contacted by letsrecycle.com, the head of policy and communications at the CIWM, Pat Jennings, said a statement will be issued.
Last year, Professor Margaret Bates, Chair of CIWM Executive Committee, said the Institution was in the process of modernising its structure to be more dynamic and responsive, refreshing and improving its membership offer, and prioritising its work to reflect the needs of today’s resource and waste sector.
