Viridor supports Bargeddie schools
Viridor, Scotland’s recycling and renewable energy company, supported the schools local to their Bargeddie advanced recycling hub at their annual parent council community fun day.
St Kevin’s and Bargeddie Primary Schools hold the event each year to raise funds for the schools and Viridor took on the role of the main sponsor.
With hundreds attending the joint-campus community event, Viridor brought a series of recycling vehicles, with staff talking to the crowds about recycling and road safety. Through competitions, cab rides and visual demonstrations, tots and teenagers alike learned about why placing the right stuff in the right bin is so important.
Commenting on the event, Viridor Bargeddie logistics unit manager, John Templeton said: “Viridor has supported the event for a number of years now and it is always a great fun day out for all the community to enjoy.”
