Clarity Environmental sees ‘significant increase’ in workforce
Environmental compliance operator, Clarity Environmental, has announced a “significant increase” to its employee workforce following a restructure of its business divisions.
Clarity Environmental’s recruitment drive sees six new starters taking on roles in its compliance account management, procurement, business development and quality divisions.
The company said that the restructure was designed to “ensure the business can meet the higher demand” for the purchase of recycling evidence and that it “retains its customer focus as it grows”.
Joining Clarity’s procurement team are Kate Ballard and Wendy Baker who will be working on the purchase and supply of evidence for its packaging compliance scheme.
Nydia Lima joined the account management team, supporting WEEE and packaging members.
Jamie Bowen and Glyn Bass joined the company’s compliance sales team, and Megan Scott joined the quality division, working on supplier evaluation and supporting our ever-expanding business accreditations.
Clarity Environmental managing director and founder, David Honcoop, said: “Increasing our workforce is vital to ensure we can retain our customer focus as we grow, continuing to put our customers at the heart of our business. We are acutely aware that the businesses we work with are currently facing some of their most difficult times.”
NWH Group employs business development manager at Dumfries depot
The NWH Group has appointed Richard Clow as business development manager at its Dumfries depot.
As Mr Clow is local, the company said that this appointment will ensure local knowledge and relationships are built throughout the region.
NWH said that it now employs 17 local staff at its Dumfries depot bringing a wide range of knowledge and expertise to the waste services market here.
Mr Clow said: “It’s great to be part of an ambitious growing business, and one that is helping to create a better environment. As well as finding new opportunities, my new role is very much focussed on looking after our existing customers in the long term, ensuring we are doing our best to responsibly manage waste and transform this in to valuable new products.
“I’m very much looking forward to getting back out and about to meet people as soon as it’s safely possible to do so.”
Untha expands as it aims for £15m turnover
Industrial shredder company Untha UK has made a number of team changes, as its managing director Marcus Brew aims for a £15m turnover by the end of 2021.
Communications professional Katie Mallinson – has been appointed as marketing director. Founder of her own PR and copywriting firm, the company said she will support the strategic development of Untha UK’s external and internal dialogue across a range of communication channels.
Elsewhere, Andy Nadin, a colleague since 2012, has moved into the position of aftersales manager, to work on service and maintenance contracts, and used shredder refurbishments.
Rob Andrews will then head up the engineering services team, while Ben Styles will become the division’s senior engineer.
Sharon Annat will lead on the company’s data analysis, and Sarah Murray has transitioned into a sales coordinator role to streamline the mounting flow of enquiries coming into the business.
