EXCLUSIVE: Brokerage firm UK Waste Services Ltd (UKWSL) had acquired Nottinghamshire-based skip hire company Evolution Waste Management.
The deal for an undisclosed amount was completed on 29 January 2021 and is for the assets of Evolution Waste Management which includes the customer contracts and all future business.
A spokesperson for UKWSL said: “We believe the integration of the businesses will allow us to grow and continue our unwavering focus on delivering an unparalleled customer experience and creating value for money through sustainable waste management solutions.”
On its website, Evolution Waste management describes itself as an independent waste management company based in Nottinghamshire, “providing a comprehensive skip hire, waste collection, disposal and recycling service for commercial businesses throughout the UK”.
UKWSL
Founded in 2003, UKWSL has a turnover in excess of £25 million per annum and works across an array of sectors including retail, hospitality and public services. Well-known brands that UKWSL have worked with include Scope, Zizzi and Roadchef.
The move for Evolution Waste comes after UKWSL completed the acquisition of C&M Waste Management in March 2020.
At the time, the company said this was “further evidence of UKWSL’s ability to deliver against its growth strategy which combines organic growth with targeted acquisitions and has been supported by a recent strengthening of the company’s senior management team”.
