Re-Gen Waste donates PPE
Recycling company Re-Gen waste has donated nearly 50,000 pieces of personal protective equipment (PPE) to local NHS staff.

The Newry based company was already sourcing PPE for its own essential waste staff before saying it learnt that hospitals in the Southern Health and Social Care Trust were running low on equipment.
An additional £60,000 order was placed, and will delivered directly to front-line staff in Daisy Hill Hosptial and Craigavon Area Hospital, the company said.
Aiden Doherty, commercial director at Re-Gen said: “It was important to use that we did our bit to support the health and wellbeing of these incredible individuals who are putting themselves in harms way, to provide the very best care for their patients.”
Craemer announces wheeled bin for clinical waste
The wheeled 770L container for the collection and transportation of clinical waste
Wheeled bin manufacturer Craemer has announced its UN packaging performance certification for its new 770L container designed for the collection and transportation of clinical waste.
Following the recent launch of their Neo4 range of plastic four wheeled bins, the Neo UN bin reportedly shares the same robust, ergonomic features as the larger 1100L container.
The company says its wheeled bins are quickly becoming popular across the UK and European clinical waste stream industries.
The latest edition to Craemer’s wheeled bin range features an auto lid-lock system, non-marking wheels, customised hot-foil stamping and towing equipment.
System launched to help waste firms manage costs
Waste compaction equipment supplier, CK international, has announced a system to help companies manage waste equipment and control costs.
The service management software, CK connect, was developed as a solution to customers who found they have little visibility of their maintenance costs.
The portal helps companies maximise productivity
CK international said that it provides customers with full asset management and transparency on costs of preventative and creative maintenance, both at site and machine level.
The company added that asset management such as this is essential in the current climate to enable companies to manage costs.
The portal includes additional features such as allowing users to log a support call day or night to notify a CK engineer and storage of training documents.
Mobile Workforce system wins Queen’s Award
Mobile workforce management company BigChange has been awarded a Queen’s Award for Enterprise for its workforce management system, Job Watch.
The system provides connections to back office staff to mobile workers and customers, and enabling users to automate manual processes and reduced paper usage.
The award celebrates businesses who excel at international trade, innovation
or sustainable development
The system is used by waste and recycling services such as Quest Waste Management.
