Visitors are descending upon the NAEC at Stoneleigh Park for the first ever Letsrecycle Live trade show, which opens its doors this morning.
The two-day show, running today and tomorrow (22-23 May), offers visitors a packed conference schedule, live demos of some of the latest recycling vehicles and kit and unrivalled networking opportunities. More than 150 exhibitors are also taking part in the event.
Letsrecycle Live, which is free to attend, takes place at the National Agricultural Exhibition Centre, six miles south of Coventry. You can still register to attend the show by signing up at letsrecycle.live or checking in at the venue’s front desk.
Three theatres
The conference programme is split across three theatres: The Keynote Conference Theatre, sponsored by Suez UK, the Materials Village Theatre, sponsored by Wastepack, and the Local Authority Theatre, sponsored by MGB & Straight Manufacturing.

[gallery_placement]A highlight in day one in the Keynote theatre is the ‘Leaders in Resource Management’ discussion, which takes place at midday.
The session, which will be chaired by Jacob Hayler from the Environmental Services Association, will see top level input from Biffa, Suez, Veolia and Viridor as to the industry’s hottest topics.
Other hot topics being covered on the conference programme on day one include vehicle emissions – with a session on Low Emission Fleets & Collections, which takes place at 11:30 at the Local Authority Theatre, sponsored by MGB & Straight Manufacturing.
The Materials Village Conference Theatre which will be focusing on a range of different material streams and related topics throughout the two days.
Live demonstrations
There is also a full programme of live vehicle and kit demonstrations taking place throughout the event across the Live Demonstration Area; Trucks in Action; and the Fireward Demo Area.
The first live show begins at 10:30 on the first day in the Live Demonstration area, with further demonstrations happening at 12:30 and 14:30 across both days of the event.
Meanwhile, four of the leading manufacturers of vehicles in the industry will be showcasing their products in the ‘Trucks in Action’ area.
Taking place at 11:30, 13:30 and 15:30, a range of vehicles in their intended environment will be on show from Faun Zoeller, Boughton Engineering, Dennis Eagle and Vision Techniques.
Alongside this, vehicle fire suppression specialist Fireward will be running live fire suppression tests to demonstrate the superior effectiveness of ABC Dry Powder when used in vehicle fire suppression systems over that of Wet Chemical based systems. These will take place at 10:00, 12:00 and 14:00 across the two days.
On the social side, Letsrecycle Live is also offering the ‘Inn on the Green’ pop-up pub, a great opportunity for refreshment and networking throughout the show in a relaxed setting. A number of industry names are also taking part in the white collar boxing event, taking place tonight.
