Excitement is building for the Letsrecycle Live trade show which opens its doors for the first time to visitors from the waste management sector on Wednesday (22 May).
A host of exhibitors have already started arriving on site over the weekend, for what is the inaugural event taking place over two days (22-23 May) at Stoneleigh Park, near Coventry.
Registration is open for visitors to confirm their free places, at what is pegged as the industry’s most exciting new trade show, encompassing the whole waste management and recycling sector.
Conference
Three conference theatres are set to cover the ‘hot topics’ in the sector, with highlights including the ‘Leaders in Resource Management’ session on day one – with top level input from Biffa, Suez and Viridor.
On day two, sessions not to be missed include a Women in Waste breakfast meeting, also in the Keynote theatre, and later on, a panel discussion on deposit return schemes and extended producer responsibility.
A session on low emission fleets & collections on day one is expected to draw in a wide local authority audience in the Local Authority Theatre.
Demonstrations
As the name suggests, the trade show has a big section dedicated to equipment and vehicle live demonstrations, which are expected to be popular among delegates.
One of three demonstration areas – Trucks in Action – will be exhibiting some of the latest waste sector vehicles, from leading manufacturers Faun Zoeller, Boughton Engineering, Dennis Eagle and Vision Techniques.
The live demonstration area will be showcasing material handling and processing material. The line-up includes technology from JCB, Blue, Leibherr, SMT GB, E H Hassell, Doyle Machinery, LDH Attachments, Eggersmann, Mach Tech Services, Steel Viper/CRJ Services and SB Recycling Machinery.
Finally, at the Fireward demo area, the company will be running live fire suppression tests to demonstrate the effectiveness of ABC Dry Powder when used in vehicle fire suppression systems.
Networking
Aside from the conference sessions and live demonstrations, the event also offers a plethora of networking and socialising opportunities, in what is expected to be a fun and relaxed environment.
Over 80% of tickets are now sold for the industry’s first charity white collar boxing event, taking place on the evening of the first day at Letsrecycle Live ( Wednesday 22 May). A full night of boxing between industry figures is on the cards, which includes a three-course meal, wine and entertainment (see letsrecycle.com story).
Also expected to be popular among visitors is the Inn on the Green ‘pop-up pub’ which has received great pre-show feedback. Evoking memories of the Paignton show, the Inn on the Green is free to attend for all visitors and the bar will be serving drinks throughout the event. This will also include live music across the two days.
Visit the website for further details of the event & to book your place – this one is not to be missed!
