Robin Stevenson, managing director of Hamilton Waste, said “We aim to play our own part in making Scotland a more resource-efficient nation and will continue to grow our fleet of electric vehicles well in advance of Edinburgh’s City Council’s introduction of Low Emission Zones by 2020.

“We are also undertaking significant research into the latest innovations in electric waste collection vehicles which dovetails our strategy and demonstrates our commitment to a greener and cleaner environment.”
