Recolight announces board appointment

Glenn Christie from Tungsram Lighting has joined the Recolight board

Recolight, the lighting industry WEEE compliance scheme, has announced the appointment of Glenn Christie from Tungsram Lighting to its Board.

Mr Christie, a product line leader for lamps and drivers at Tungsram, brings with him 15 years of experience working in the electrical and electronic manufacturing sector.

Commenting on the news, Recolight chief executive, Nigel Harvey said: “We are delighted that Glenn is joining our Board.  His knowledge of the lighting sector will be a significant helps as Recolight’s strategy continues to evolve.”


Scania strengthens sales team

Scania (Great Britain) Limited has strengthened its fleet sales team with the appointment of Simon Gray to the position of national fleet manager – municipal and specialist sales.

Prior to joining Scania, Mr Gray worked for John Lewis Partnership, spending 11 years in engineering and five years as head of fleet engineering with the transport team. Before John Lewis Partnership, he spent ten years working for Royal Mail on the service side of its business.

“Simon’s appointment brings a wealth of experience to our team,” says Kevin Lanksford, Scania’s national fleet and specialist sales director.  “Sustainable transport operation is a particular focus area for our municipal customers, and Simon’s knowledge of operating quiet, clean vehicles on a renewable fuel source is virtually unparalleled within our industry.”


ZenRobotics announces new chief executive

Finnish technology company, ZenRobotics Ltd has announced Wolfgang Schiller as the new chief executive, effective immediately.

Prior to ZenRobotics, Mr Schiller was the vice president electronics industry at KUKA AG, one of the leading suppliers of intelligent automation solutions. As chief executive, Mr Schiller will be responsible for further developing ZenRobotics’ business and accelerating the uptake of intelligent robots in waste management.

Wassim Sacre, chairman of the board of ZenRobotics and managing director of Invus, said: “Wolfgang’s appointment as CEO is a clear reflection of the company’s readiness for the next phase of development: he brings demonstrated experience in driving significant growth by putting customers and innovation at the heart of the business,” says.


Recycling Technologies appoints technical director

Recycling Technologies, specialists in feedstock recycling of residual plastic waste, has announced the appointment of Marvine Besong to technical director.

Recycling Technologies has appointed Marvine Besong as technical director

Mr Besong is leading the global technical development of the company’s feedstock recycling machine, RT7000.

Mr Besong brings nearly a decade of experience to his new role, and since joining in February 2015, the company says he has been “instrumental” in helping deliver the Beta Plant, which it operates in Swindon.

His focus will now be on enhancing Recycling Technologies’ specialist capabilities and ensuring the development and productivity of the RT7000 which will enter production this year, with the first machine being installed in Binn Farm in Perths
