Better management of the world’s resources will be the theme underpinning this year’s RWM show, the organisers have announced.
The event, held in partnership with the Chartered Institution of Wastes Management (CIWM), takes place over three days in September at Birmingham’s NEC.
12-14 September
From 12 to 14 September, thousands of visitors are expected to attend, including council officers, waste contractors and consultants as well as representatives of organisations including National Grid, British Steel, NHS and Tesco.
RWM Event director Nicola Meadows said: “The umbrella concept is RWM’s One Planet Living mission, which champions the better management and supply of the world’s resources in an increasingly interconnected world. Divided into six zones – Supply & Demand; Energy from Waste; Recyclers & Reprocessors; Handling & Logistics; Data, Tech & Services; and Machinery & Equipment – the show will also feature an Innovation Hub, where exhibitors and start-up companies showcase the latest, most innovative ideas in the market.”
And the event director added: “The latest technology in the shredding, sorting and compacting of material will be showcased in the Machinery & Equipment zone, by new exhibitor A&C Weber and returning exhibitors including Eriez and Bunting Magnetics.”
Reprocessors
Innovation will be at the heart of the Recyclers & Reprocessors zone, focusing on companies – such as Tomra Sorting –which have solutions to handle waste and divert it from landfill, extracting value .
The UK’s Department for International Trade will be returning to RWM to help visitors and exhibitors gain insight into exporting products and internationalising their business.
Event trails
The show will also have event trails – the Energy Solutions Trail, the Water Marketplace Trail, the Local Authority Trail, the New Exhibitor Discovery Trail and the Great British Trail.
